In my experience premiums come in four flavors from wargaming.

#WORLD OF WARSHIPS DOUBLOONS PREMIUM COST PC#

My first PC game was Duke Nukem on PC when I was 5, back in 1991 lol.īetter for gameplay though if the ships are "better/stronger" I'm not a new generation gamer by any means haha. Heh, I played Ultima Online back in the 90s. Game developers haven't figured out the whole selling in volume thing yet however. However a person that would balk at spending $50 for a single ship would spend $80 or even $100 or more if they added a ton of premium and those ships were sold for $10-$15 each. A $50 feels like big money to alot of people when it is dropped in one lump sum. I have always said cheaper is better in a game. This is why they are priced the way they are. My point is in the grand scheme of things to alot of players $50 isn't a major investment for something that increases a players fun factor as much as a good premium does. Basically to play a MMO you were looking at a $200-$250 investment yearly which is where my budget for F2P games still stands. Game would cost $40, subscription was between $10-$15 a month with expansions costing roughly another $30 give or take. Actually beta tested Ultima Online and back then you had this lovely thing called a subscription you had to pay every month. I have been playing MMOs since they first came out. Seriously you guys make me feel old and you all are a bit spoiled hehe. Wouldn't WG do better if they just made a bunch of similar stat ships (for balance) with really good skins at 10- 20 bucks each?Īhh the new generation of gamers.

Has anyone else seen the prices and thought that it wasn't worth it? I was originally thinking I'd be able to buy 3-5 ships, but this put me off purchasing anything completely. I was planning on spending 60 dollars total on this game (that's my rule for these "F2P" games, never pay more than a regular game's cost), but spending all that on one ship seemed kinda stupid. Will most of the ships be of this cost? I never played WoT or WoWp so I dont know how the pricing goes over there. I was thinking about getting the Atlanta until I saw the cost. Hellos, just getting settled into this game and was debating whether or not to purchase a ship. Then when I move him out of the Nagato into the next tier ship I can place the one I was grinding in the Ishizuchi back into the Nagato and have a a captain with some useful skills ready instead of having a new one with maybe 3 base points that I bought for 25 doubloons and be at a huge disadvantage at high tier against others who have captains with mush more experience and skills. Not only that if I want to keep the Nagato I can train the captain that came with the ship in the Ishizuchi and get skill points in it as I grind out the Nagato with the other captain until next tier. XP will still count and once fully retrained I can just move him into nagato and play the ship without penelty or paying Doubloons to get.

I can save time and money by just playing the 200K on retraining to get half then move the new Nagato captain into the Ishizuchi and grind out the rest of the XP on the retrain WITHOUT the -50 on him. Or opt to go 200k credits for half the XP needed or notpay at all and grind out the xp at -50 to his skills. Retrain I would have to either pay 500 doubloons to get all the benifits and perks from his skills now. Lets say I just unlocked the Nagato and want move the Captain from my Fuso to the Nagato. Doesn't sound like that much of a benefit? Let me give you this example then. I can take any captain from any ship and train them with the premium.
